The story behind the Application:

The Haagse Bunker Ploeg is a group of real bunker enthusiasts who has been researching German defenses for almost 28 years, mainly in The Hague and Scheveningen, but also far beyond, and even abroad!

The research focuses on locating the missing defenses (GPS) and identifying them, using old maps and bottom radars and / or a pin, the location and type and current status of the work is determined, after which we process all findings in the BunkerApp.

We emphatically want to distance ourselves from 'bunker diggers' who show no respect for bunkers and nature.
More and more often we are confronted with the mess that others leave behind.
Leaving holes open poses a danger to both humans and animals.
A work (bunker etc) that is open is very susceptible to vandalism.
In addition, a municipality can decide to demolish if there is too much nuisance.
So we ask everyone who decides to open a bunker and / or locate via the app to take this into account.
