HOBB - Plants & Community

Every plant tells a story🌿
It is finally time for you to tell yours to the world.

Looking for a way to tame the chaos in your indoor jungle? HOBB is for everyone who loves nature - from single-fern owners to botany experts. Tools and community in one place - your hobby, always at hand!

Why you'll love HOBB?

• Free Care Scheduler: No more forgetting to water or fertilize.
• Cashless Plant Exchange: Find your dream specimens nearby through barter.
• Digital Plant Profiles: Every plant gets a unique ID, history, likes and comments.
• Knowledge Base: Specs on 700+ species - from toxicity to light preferences that are automatically assigned when you select a species.
• Living Community: Get inspired by posts and articles from fellow enthusiasts (and create your own!).
• Meaningful Gamification: Earn points for helping others and unlock unique achievements.

Tame the chaos and find your ZEN moment

In a world full of pompous and clickbait content, HOBB is built on authenticity. Our app digitizes your collection and gives your plants an identity of their own. Your plant becomes a "digital celebrity" - track its progress, collect likes from fellow enthusiasts and build a real bond with your greenery. Your beautiful and rewarding hobby deserves a place where you have everything you need.

PlantCare: Your personal botanical assistant

At the heart of HOBB is a suite of dedicated PlantCare tools. We're launching two modules to help keep your plants in great shape at all times:
• Care Scheduler: Customize watering, fertilizing and repotting routines to the specific needs of each plant. Get notifications that'll save your monstera from drying out.
• Plant Exchange: Pure barter, not commerce. Got too many pilea cuttings? List them and find someone nearby willing to trade for a rare alocasia. Uniquely, when a plant changes hands, it carries its full digital history and achievements to its new owner.

Knowledge from enthusiasts, for enthusiasts
Whether you're a beginner or an expert, HOBB is your source of reliable, community-built knowledge. Browse mobile-first articles and guides. Want to know why your monstera isn't developing holes? You'll find the answer in content created by our community.

We build the tool - not the narrative. We believe plants bring people together, and we want your unique stories to reach a community that's eager to hear them. Did your grandmother pass down a fern that's been in your family for nearly half a century? Share that story!

Gamification without pressure (No FOMO)
Our points system (PTS) and account levels (1 through 7) are designed to reward your engagement. Earn points for writing articles, helping others in the comments or keeping up with regular plant care. It's a subtle and enjoyable way to build your standing in the community.

Fair rules and full transparency:
We're a small team (under 10 people) from Białystok, Poland. We build HOBB out of passion and we're proud to support the Polish economy.
A few principles we live by:
• No features hidden behind a paywall.
• HOBB+ is voluntary support. If you'd like to back us (think Patreon), choose one of 5 subscription tiers - and as a thank-you, we'll turn off the ads.
• The diversity of this hobby is our strength. We're not building an "exclusive" community - we want people of every age, collection size and experience level to feel right at home.

This is just the beginning!
We have big plans ahead. While we're starting with houseplants, we're already working on features for garden lovers - including a dedicated Garden Planner. We listen to your feedback and want to build the best place for every green enthusiast together, with you.

So go ahead - show us your #hobby.
