Home List: Shared Grocery List

Home List is a household coordination app: a family organizer where the grocery list, chores and family calendar are shared by everyone and update on every phone the moment anyone changes them, so the whole household works from the same plan.

When you're near a store with items still on the list, your phone reminds you, even with the app closed. Turn on trip sharing and the rest of the household hears about it too, so whoever's at home can add what they forgot while you're still in the aisle. And there are no ads.

It's the family shopping list app that closes the loop. Make the list together, get reminded at the store, scan the receipt on the way out, and see what your household actually spends — the grocery budget by store and by month, with price trends on the things you buy most.

WHY FAMILIES, COUPLES & ROOMMATES USE IT

• Shared shopping lists, live — add "milk" on one phone and it's on the other before you've put yours down. Check something off and the whole household knows.
• Store reminders — a shopping list reminder that fires when you arrive at Aldi, Kroger, Costco, Home Depot or wherever you shop, and only while something is still unchecked. One store's reminder is free; Premium adds every store. It works even if the app hasn't been opened in days, and it's a low-power geofence, not GPS tracking.
• Tell the household — optionally, when one of you is near the store, the others hear about it, so someone can add the thing they forgot while you're still in the aisle. No coordinates leave anyone's phone; what travels is the store's name and a count.
• Receipt scanner — photograph the receipt and every item and price is read on your phone and saved to the household's spending history. No typing, and the photo never leaves the device.
• Household chores without the nagging — assign tasks, set recurring schedules, or leave a chore open for whoever's around. A chore chart for roommates, a routine for families; either way you can see who did what and when.
• A shared family calendar — appointments, school dates and plans everyone can see, with reminders before they arrive. Subscribe once and it shows up inside Google Calendar, Outlook, or any calendar app that takes a subscription link — and tick the calendars already on your phone to bring their events in the other way.
• Dinners this week — plan the week's dinners on the calendar, say who's cooking, and add the ingredients to the grocery list in one tap.
• Organized automatically — items group by department (dairy, produce, hardware and more), so everything from one part of the store sits together.
• Every phone in the household — everyone stays in sync no matter what they carry, and the full web version is there for keyboard jobs like pasting a 30-item stock-up.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Create a household and invite your family, partner or roommates with one link — they tap it and they're in, no code to type.
2. Add a store from any list — type its name and pick the one near you.
3. Get reminded at the store, scan the receipt on the way out, and watch the spending picture build itself.
