Description
Looking for an app that will keep your children occupied for a few minutes so you can wash the dishes in peace? HomeTube to the rescue!
HomeTube transforms your Android device into a safe, child-friendly haven where kids have instant access to watch whatever YouTube content they want from a list of content you deem suitable.
Child-friendly navigation allows kids to switch from watching a Curious George video to a Spider-man or Dora cartoon without requiring you to navigate them to the new content yourself. No more having to take hold of the device yourself to change the content that is displaying as your child's mood changes on a whim!
You can also rest easy in the knowledge that your kids won't be watching inappropriate content. You configure HomeTube with the content you think is safe[1], and that's all they'll ever see[2].
Best of all, HomeTube can be set as a home screen replacement. This means if you have a tablet running Android 4.2 or later, you can create a new user profile for your child, set HomeTube as the default launcher, and HomeTube becomes the only app your kids can access! No more worrying about them accidentally loading your email or a browser[3].
Note: HomeTube is not affiliated with YouTube or Google in any way. It is simply a child-friendly interface to play YouTube videos.
[1] A one-time in-app purchase is require to customize the content that is displayed. Or you can use HomeTube's specially crafted defaults for free. [2] HomeTube works by searching YouTube for content based on search terms you define. HomeTube uses search results straight from YouTube, and thus cannot be held responsible for the appropriateness or otherwise of this content. You should always check that content is safe to your satisfaction. [3] HomeTube makes all efforts to lock down the device in a child-friendly way, but technically it will still be possible for extremely well-versed children to access the device's system settings. HomeTube intentionally makes no effort to prevent this as doing so is a violation of the Play Store developer guidelines.

My 3 year old son loves this app. I don't have to worry that he will see something inappropriate!
★★★★★
Great I love how they can't get out of this app and yes if you type in a show you May get a chance of getting something bad but that's the risk you have to take on the Internet.. My kids love YouTube and will be so excited when I show them this

Wishes Please comment on this request to get developers attention. Home tube only shows a limited amount of videos. Turtle derp has tons of videos but only 12 show up what is the deal? Also if my kids have friends over we should be able to chromecast a you tube naturally right.
★★☆☆☆
Found inappropriate videos Tried to remove the category like FAQ suggested... Was prompted to pay to modify categories. I can see paying to add categories, but shouldn't cost to remove them.

bought upgrade.... Works on one system I own, but not any others... want to explain? Google says I already own it... you say, I need it I say, getting ready for refund. please advice.
★★☆☆☆
pointless what is the point in this app if we still need the YouTube app just to play videos? I'm better off just setting parental control within the YouTube app. this is supposed to be a replacement smh
