★★★★★ Update required - core issues need resolving ... Device: HTC One. Non-rooted The good: Finds Airplay Express device on network ok and is easy to set up. Sounds come out. Excellent! The bad: 1. Sometime between 5-30 mins the audio starts to break up. It sounds like it is stuttering, with a little bit of stretching. If you pause the track, then play again, the problem goes away. Note that I play 80 min long podcasts, so people who play short 5 min songs may not see this if the player effectively resets between tracks. 2. The player: When connected to Airplay Express, there is an odd bug that when you move the audio position slider, it jumps to that mark of the audio track, but the visual position on the slider is set back to the start of the track. So you can't then slide backwards. 3. The player is unintuitive. When you tap on an album, then find a track, then play the track, the music starts playing but you then have to press the album cover in the top left corner to get to the actual track playing, so you can see the player controls. The workflow is all wrong. 4-Stars for the only Airplay Express compatible s/w in the Play store that does not need root. 5-stars when playback issues fixed.

★★☆☆☆ A real disappointment This app has great promise and potential for AirTune purposes but fails in that very area hence the low score here. Most people who purchase this particular app are likely to do so in the hope that they will be able to stream to an AirPlay devices using the AirTunes technology. There are few other apps that specifically support audio only and so this app has a significant potential niche. Unfortunately the app is very prone to crashing (in some cases the whole phone locks up), could only stream one song and then fail and contains other bugs such as occasionally not properly listing the songs within an album. Iron out these problems and everyone here would be very happy I'm sure. Here's hoping...
