How Did This Even Happen?

Aim, bounce and battle in a brick-breaker RPG with allies to summon, collect and level up. Join Leah, a girl unfairly cast into hell, and the angel Sariel on their journey to escape.

Find your angle
Study the monsters and plan your shot. Bounce balls off walls to land repeated hits, then put your chosen ally's skill to work as you fight through each stage.

Choose your next upgrade
Between waves, choose an upgrade from randomly offered options. These roguelike choices add new effects to the current battle. Pick what suits the situation and shape your attacks for the wave ahead.

Summon allies and help them grow
Summon and collect support characters, then choose one to accompany you in each battle. Level them up, strengthen their skills and gather shards to raise their star ranks. Bring the ally you have developed into your next challenge.

Build strength between battles
Raise your player level and upgrade your equipment and special balls. Special-ball upgrades last beyond a single battle: when an upgraded ball's effect appears among your battle choices, select it to put that progress to use.

Follow a story beyond the battle
Leah and Sariel search for a way out of hell. Between stage battles, meet the cast through anime-style character art and visual novel scenes. Follow their conversations and the events that unfold along the journey.
