Howl: White Noise & Sleep

Howl combines sleep sounds, white noise, brown noise, rain sounds and layered nature ambience in one customizable listening experience. Mix five sound layers, wind down at night, focus when you need to, or play your own files with the built-in offline music player.

Sleep Sounds and Nature Ambience

Explore more than 40 handcrafted soundscapes across Sleep, Unwind, Relax, Focus, White & Brown Noise, and Baby & Newborn.

Listen to rain on a cabin roof, distant thunder, a deep forest at night, ocean waves, a crackling fireplace, cafe ambience, a night train, a purring cat and more.

From gentle rain sounds and forest sounds to steady white noise and deep brown noise, Howl gives you immersive backgrounds for sleep, relaxation, focus, work and study.

Baby & Newborn Sounds

The Baby & Newborn collection brings gentle, repetitive soundscapes made for naps, bedtime and quiet nursery routines.

Create Your Own Mix

Every soundscape contains five separate sound layers. Turn the rain up, lower the thunder, bring in the wind or reshape the background until the atmosphere feels right.

Each layer has its own volume control, giving you far more control than a single fixed audio track.

Living Soundscapes

Selected packs use Howl's Living engine to create changing ambient environments in real time instead of relying on one repeating sequence.

Wind, texture and environmental details shift while you listen, making these soundscapes feel more natural and less repetitive over long sessions.

Sleep Timer with Gentle Fade

Set a sleep timer and let the audio fade out gradually instead of stopping suddenly.

Use Howl at bedtime without having to reach for your phone again once you begin to drift off.

Night History

See your recent ambience listening activity in Night History and understand which soundscapes have become part of your nighttime routine.

Your Own Music, Offline

Howl is also a complete offline music player for your own audio files.

Import MP3, AAC, FLAC and WAV files and listen without an internet connection. Build playlists and smart playlists, add custom artwork, organize your library and use the sleep timer with your own music too.

Transfer Music over Wi-Fi

Move music from your computer directly to your phone over your local network.

Open Howl's transfer screen, use your browser to send the files, and they are added to your library. No cable, cloud upload or account is required.

Private by Design

Your music library and listening history stay on your device. Howl is built around a local-first approach, keeping your personal listening experience where it belongs.
