Great app. Works very well on Nvidia Shield TV. One small feature request though if I may: would it be possible to stop streaming automatically when the device goes to sleep? Now it still holds the lights so manual control is no longer possible.

Works awesome. Have it set up on my shield pro with plex and a lg OLED C9. As far as it not syncing with DRM content such as Netflix, Prime, Disney try running them in your Chrome browser (sideload onto your android device like shield pro) and it should work. This is not the fault of the app as hue will not sync to DRM content even with the hue sync box. Make sure to set up your light placement in the hue app entertainment area as doing this gave me complete screen coverage with my 3 lights.

Having used hue stream for 1 week before purchasing a hue sync box I have to say that the hue stream app does a better job than the official hue sync box. I have used many ambilight test videos to set the entertainment area for hue stream correctly & once done properly hue stream is a lot better at putting the correct colors in the correct place and keeps up with fast moving images perfectly. I'm very disappointed with the hue sync box & am I thinking about returning it to continue using hue stream

App crashes on start. Downloaded this on my Oppo Reno Android device and cannot use it since it crashes before start... Nice.

Doesn't work with DRM content. Netflix. Stan. Amazon Prime. Disney. None of them. So basically it's a great app for connecting your lights to your smart tv menu, because that's all it can sync with.

I installed this on my Fire stick Cube. It does not work with any protected content which includes YoutubeTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. However, it does work with Pandora. I like the concept, but it appears if you want to use Hue Lights behind your TV you must buy a "sync Box". Grrrrrrrr

Lights stay on when I turn off the Nvidia shield. Worse, it doesn't release "hue sync" so I can't control my lights even with the hue app or hue switch. I have to turn everything back on, launch the app, stop sync, then power off. Also, no option to not color change and doesn't make use of full brightness of the light strip. In the end, makes using the shield worse.
