★★★★★ It works quite well, but there are definite gaps. In common with a number of similar apps, there's no sign of disability access info. You need internet access for it to work, no info on platform numbers, and searching station names can be difficult.

★★★★★ Excellent app for Japan Trains just like the website. You can plan your rides on the go if you have access to the internet. The only downside is you can only download this in Japan so make this the first app you download when you land.

★★☆☆☆ Hyperdia says to download the app to filter JR pass compatible routes but you have to pay for that option. Why not just offer on the regular website?

★★☆☆☆ For years now, Hyperdia claims you can not use Hayabusa trains with a Japan Rail Pass. This is complete and utter nonsense. Due to misleading data in Hyperdia, you can not find any routes with Shinkansen to Hakodate. Why does Hyperdia persist is providing wrong and misleading information to tourists?
