Don't buy Skitch until you try this! I used this app to markup a 200 page manuscript which I saved as a PDF. Bought Skitch to do this, but learned that stupid Skitch & Evernote counted EACH save (after an edit session) as an entirely new Evernote upload. Almost wiped out my Evernote data quota in a few hours of editing! So I used iAnnotate PDF instead for the early rounds of editing. Loads of cool markup tools & easy navigation thru my big file. So if you're thinking of buying Skitch DON'T... until you try iAnnotate! I love it! (And Hey, Skitch: I want a refund!) [UPDATE: I have switched to Xodo, which has typewriter text & lots of other features that make it a bit easier to use than iAnnotate. So, under the circumstances, I've downgraded this app to a 4... but they tell me it will be revised for Android soon, so it may then become even better than Xodo. It's Apple version (according to the iAnnotate website) is loaded with good features.]

Best pdf option This app isn't perfect, but its the best reader I've found, particularly if you want to be able to annotate the document you're reading. A surprisingly annoying aspect is the small tabs make them very difficult to close.

Good so far, here are some suggestions Couple easy fixes: to annotate in different colors, you need to annotate in one, close the pen, then click on the pen again and choose a new color... Otherwise, all current drawings change to the new color. Same goes for the highlighter. Fix it so that choosing a new color doesn't affect the previous annotations or highlights. Also, a lasso selection tool would be very helpful for moving drawings around. Make it so that you can highlight ANYTHING, not just PDF recognized text. Otherwise, this app is great

Pretty good Overall a good app. It allows me to read PDFs and annotate like a textbook. Scrolling isn't smooth on my Asus Nexus 7. Other than that, it's been great for me so far!

Horrible This is an outdated version of the app and it sucks. You can't touch a word and get the definition, you can't change the color in anything and get the color to stay for next time, there is no auto correct in the notes. When I try to underline the page increases its view instead. I have to press the underline button each time I want to use it instead of allowing me to tap put of it when I'm done. I paid for a great version of this app on my iPad and then I get this android and there is a free crappy version, I'd rather pay for the updated version but know I can't even find it. This app is so horrible. Be consistent in what your providing no matter what the device.

Android version way worse than iPad version The Android version of this app has slow, buggy rendering, and lacks Dropbox connectivity. I have a Kobo Arc 7 HD Android tablet, and the iAnnotate app for this device hasn't been updated since Nov 2013. This is unfortunate, since the iPad version is superlative.

Galaxy Note 8 Overall functions are ok and annotations look good but menu tabs not displaying correctly. Also annotations not sent with pdf in email, I didn't need a blank duplicate of the original file really.
