Great idle game. Needs more information. Do the click upgrades affect acolytes? Also, bought the no more ads, and yet I still get ads when I click to get more bonuses from an idle timer when im not playing. Please explain

Just add a manual save button, I literally went through a portal, and it asked me I had multiple saves from 1961 and when I press I lost all my previous progress. Coin upgrades, helmet unlock, etc. everything's gone, and I can't even recover them anymore. I've played this before recycle became a chore so these multiple resets have been taxing on my will to keep playing this game.

Lost all progress. I've played countless idle games and never had this problem. I was saving up materials to build/power up the portal for the first time, but the game had other plans, apparently.
