iM Guide

“iM Guide” is a museum mobile multimedia guide platform. Visitors can have a deeper understanding on exhibits through text, audio, video and multimedia contents. Indoor navigation technique and outdoor Global Positioning System (GPS) provide locations of exhibits and facilities, such as toilets and baby care room, and navigation service. The “iM Guide” is at this stage applied to the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, the Hong Kong Railway Museum as well as the navigation and introduction of 16 spots along the Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail. It will provide services to various museums of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department in future.

With effect from mid-June 2025, the navigation function of the iM Guide will be gradually disabled in phases. The iM Guide will be retired and no longer updated from 30 June 2025.
