The best Chinese learning app out there by a mile -I wish I'd found it before getting to ~HSK5 materials, but even so, it's been incredibly helpful. This app is laser focused on teaching the most important and useful words, phrases and constructions that you actually need to understand spoken Chinese. It's incredibly simple to use, the sentences have a male and a female voice recording, and hearing every word in many contexts cements them. 11/10 would write 5 more paragraphs about it.

I never thought I could learn a language until I've used this app. This is the only language app that is extremely simple, no gimmicks, no ads, just learning. Each lesson is 25 sentences and introduces ~5 words. I suggest not trying to perfectly memorize anything. Rather listen, repeat, take in the structure of the sentence, then move on. Words from prior lessons are reused, so you'll get some naturally spaced repetition. You will feel progress. I only wish there were >2 voices (1 male, 1 female)

Great app, it inspires me to build a similar app for another language (I speak 3 languages and am I trying to learn Mandarin) Probably not anytime soon though. Many of the 1* and 2* review are really mean, many other language learning apps charge more than this.

The app itself is Great, Amazing even, but suddenly it's stuck on the Downloading latest lesson Data screen when opening the app.

Just sentences repeated over and over. You have to keep switching back and forth from Chinese to English.
