Imposter: Word Party Game

One word. One secret. Who's making it up?

Imposter is the party game for friends, family dinners, road trips and game nights. Everyone gets the same secret word – except the imposter, who has to bluff their way through. Take turns giving a one-word clue, talk it over, then vote. Catch the imposter… or get fooled!

HOW TO PLAY
• Everyone looks at their card in private: the secret word, or "You are the imposter".
• Go around the room: each player says one word related to the secret word.
• Too vague and you look suspicious. Too obvious and the imposter learns the word.
• Discuss, then vote out the player you think is the imposter.
• Catch them and the civilians win. Fool everyone and the imposter wins!

PLAY YOUR WAY
• 3 to 20 players
• One phone passed around the table, everyone on their own phone, or a mix
• No internet needed: play on your Wi-Fi, or let one Android phone create a game Wi-Fi network – join by scanning a QR code
• Hold-to-reveal cards that hide the moment you let go, so nobody can peek
• Name grid shows who has already looked at their card

GAME MODES
• Classic, Easy (the imposter gets a hint), Hard (no category shown), Undercover (the imposter gets a similar word and doesn't know it) and Chaos (a surprise number of imposters)
• One vote or elimination rounds, with optional clue and discussion timers
• A game master mode for the host, points and a scoreboard across games
• Stuck with a word nobody knows? The host deals a new one in one tap
