Comments on Initiative Tracker for D&D for Android
★★★★★
This app and it's sister app "encounter generator" have, for me and my D&D crew, become the default DM tool for running sessions on a digital medium while still offline. I sincerely hope (and would even pay for) updates that bring more monsters into the encounter generator. It would be nice if you could synchronize custom monsters and encounters across different devices, and a way to still directly enter into monster-turned-NPC stats from the initiative tracker would be very helpful. 5 Stars!

This was a game changer for tracking initiative in games. I'm loving it, but I do wish for a couple more features. Hands down 5 stars if it had a way to have multiple encounters going. Saving parties and encounters is great, but I'm currently in 3 campaigns, and sometimes we start combat in one and the session ends mid-fight and I run the other campaign before we can finish. So I need to be able to run another encounter without losing the one that is still going.

The app does a pretty good job keeping track of initiative, and with the color coding and hp and ac tracking, it does pretty well. It even keeps everything saved if you close it and leave it, popping back right where you left off. It does take a bit to put everything in though. It is much faster to write things down in shorthand, but for important fights that might be particularly long, or are particularly big, it's pretty good for in person sessions, and is good for keeping track of durations
★★☆☆☆
Feels like the only good and really useful things are behind a paywall, can't even put the actual monster in there. Or create your own. Might as well just use the kobold fight club website
★★☆☆☆
This app was kinda cool at first, but it seems some features were changed or removed recently, and now I can't even create a new battle. It's also really buggy, it wouldn't let me remove a character or add a new one to a group before and the "remove all but heroes" button, removed even the heroes. So I just got frustrated and uninstalled.
★★☆☆☆
I was enjoying this app as a 5-star experience and got the premium however when getting a new phone the removal of the monsters and Generators app has severely downgraded this apps' usefulness. I can no longer create a player and set their armor class or hit points as I need the other app to do so. I can make the group then make the people then go to each individual person I just made and then set the hit points to, but this adds much time that makes this app a pain compared to what it used to be.
