Inland Logix

Inland Logix is the internal operations application for employees of Inland World Logistics. Access requires an active employee record and a device approved by IT. It is not available to the general public.

WHAT IT DOES

Docket entry
Book consignments from the branch or the godown: FTL and sundry dockets, freight, packages and invoices, with the barcode scanned rather than typed.

Vehicle hire and dispatch
Raise placement requests, hire vehicles, generate THCs and manifests, and update a vehicle's position as it travels. Pending arrivals and pending proofs of delivery are listed so the dispatcher can see what needs chasing.

Calling drivers, owners and vendors
Ring the driver, the vehicle owner or the transport vendor about a vehicle directly from the pending list. Each call is recorded with who was rung, which vehicle and trip it was about, how the call went, the dispatcher's remarks and where the call was made from — so a vehicle's whole tracking history is in one place.

Deliveries and proofs of delivery
Record deliveries, capture the proof of delivery and challans with the camera, and check vehicles in and out of the godown.

Attendance
Branch and godown staff punch in and out from their handset. Punches post to the same HR timesheet as the office biometric readers.

Finance and masters
Bill submissions, vendor payment statements, TDS, and the vehicle and vendor masters, from the branch.

LOCATION

Inland Logix records an employee's movement during working hours so that attendance and field work can be verified, and so that godown and delivery events carry the location at which they happened.

Location is collected only between an employee's attendance punch-in and the shift-end time held in the HR system, and never later than 19:00. It stops automatically. The app explains what will be recorded before asking for permission, and Android shows a notification for the whole time it is running.

Location is not collected outside working hours, and is used only for the employee's own attendance and operational records.

CALLS

Calls placed from the app to drivers, owners and vendors are logged with the number, the outcome the employee records and their remarks. The app does not read the phone's call log.

ACCESS

Sign-in requires an employee ID and password, or a one-time code to the mobile number held in the company HR system, on a device approved by IT for that employee. Employees without an active record cannot sign in.

Inland World Logistics employees should contact their branch IT co-ordinator or the Inland IT helpdesk for access, device changes or support.
