When you pay almost $400 for an accessory to a $900 trainer, you expect to get some function out of it without an extra ongoing fee. It is completely bogus that the remote was eliminated and not only do you have to install an app and use your phone to control the resistance, but you have to pay them $15 a year for the privilege of using the hardware you purchased. Insult to injury, the smallest year you can enter for a birthday is 1999. Good thing you can enter 2039 as a birthday. Website link gets a 403 Forbidden error. This is worse than half-baked.

Unfortunately the quality of this app does not match the quality of the hardware product for which it was built to support. In terms of functionality, it (mostly) provides all the necessary pieces, but the UI/UX is quite terrible, just not something they bothered to put any attention to. This company builds high quality bike trainers to be sure, but I wish they would apply the same level of craftsmanship to their software products.
