Comments on Insight Guides Walking Eye for Android
★★★★★
I had no trouble downloading the e-book from the qr code. (The app needs camera access to scan the qr code and needs file access to download an ebook.) The book format is epub, which can be read by Google Play and other readers. I used Moon+ Reader Pro, which reads just about every format. (Note: the message about "no e-reader on device" is from your operating system, not from the Insight app.) The photos look much better on the screen than on paper. The "destination" info is weak, though.
★★★★★
Works as advertised. The ebook was easy to download for offline usage, and
the app also works in offline mode.
★★★★★
Works fine, needs to access your camera to take photo of QR code, and storage access to download the ebook(epub file type) you will need an epub reader to view the ebook. I used Google play books app.
★★☆☆☆
Reading an Insight Guide it says to download app, scan QR code etc. Downloaded app but it won't open. Shows cover page then immediately closes. Useless.
★★☆☆☆
Just doesn't run. Constantly hangs. Also wanted access to photos and "other" files. Why?? It's a site seeing app. When I denied permission I couldn't open my downloaded ebook. I can sort of understand the file folder to save the ebook, but photos??
★★☆☆☆
Bought book, it suggested downloading app and ebook, after 10 mins of download 'cannot open file you need an ebook reader' and download is deleted. Uninstall.
