The app works very well and the UX for video editing is quite impressive, very easy to use, it really leaves GoPro in the dust. I've been using it for the past ~6+ years on Samsung Note 20 to S25 with X2, X4, Go Ultra, waiting for the X6 now, and honestly it was flawless and constantly improved in terms of UX over the years. I don't understand all the negative reviews, I've never had the problems described there. I honestly suspect fake reviews trying to bring the brand down.

The key framing and AI Shot Lab tools make editing 360 footage on mobile incredibly quick. However, the editor feels limited when creating more complex videos. We really need a multi-line timeline (multi-track editing) so we can stack B-roll, overlay secondary video tracks (picture-in-picture/MultiView), and manage separate audio and text layers independently. Adding background exporting and better Android connection stability would make this a 5-star app!

I am really frustrated about photo export from the Insta360 app. There is no way to turn off the Insta360 logo! I paid full price for the camera for what? So that you can advertise your brand? Very poor.

You buy a 600 dollar camera and the first thing they show you in the app (which requires an account & personal data for some godforsaken reason to even function) is an AD for some sort of CLOUD SUBSCRIPTION. Big no. will never buy from Insta again.

When you edit in the app adds a watermark. You cannot delete it or turn it off. I didn't buy a camera to have videos with adds on them. Other than that you have to pay for the cloud and Ai functions

Great camera, frustrating app — and Android feels like an afterthought vs iOS. The "Create Video" picker only sees local files: no Google Photos or cloud import, so you must manually download everything first before editing. Cloud uploads can only start from the camera, not the app. Worst of all, the best AI features like Moments are locked behind a costly Insta360+ subscription instead of just working with photos already on my phone. Sort out cloud import and the paywall.
