Description
Intervalometer is an automation app for time-lapse to trigger camera shutter in any camera apps with a user-configured time interval. Normal time-lapse mode in most smartphones only allows auto exposure without additional controls on exposure settings and RAW format. Intervalometer works with any camera modes in any camera apps including light-painting mode, HDR, night mode, manual mode, telephoto or ultra-wide angle mode to capture a series of time-lapse image frames. This app works like an actual intervalometer for smartphones, it automates camera shutter triggering using AccessibilityService API and it works on any camera app for Android 7 and above. It can also be used with dedicated camera's remote apps from Canon, Sony, Nikon and etc to trigger the shutter button in the camera's remote app, this acts as an actual intervalometer for dedicated cameras too. With intervalometer and its flexibility to control time-lapse configurations, the following types of time-lapse are possible. 1. Low light time-lapse 2. Long exposure time-lapse 3. HDR time-lapse 4. Milky Way time-lapse / Star Trails time-lapse 5. Holy Grail of time-lapse (Day to night time-lapse) 6. Ultra wide angle time-lapse 7. Light painting time-lapse

I'm using this on a spare 4G phone I had, with a Canon M200 to take time-lapse astrophotography. I read that the phone should not sleep or be interrupted while using this app, so I set the phone to never lock and connect a charger to the phone before starting. I also turned off all phone notifications. At first, the app only worked for about an hour at a time. To fix this, I started using the Bluetooth remote option in the Canon app instead of Remote live Shooting. That fixed it. Works great!

In my opinion, this is an underrated app. It has so much potential for mobile photography enthusiasts. The ability to work with the phone's native camera app takes this into an entirely different dimension. As we all know, no other camera app works better than the native one when it comes to the picture quality but most of the time native camera app is not capable of taking time lapses in PRO or RAW mode. This app bridges that gap. I could shoot beautiful time lapses with S23 Ultra's Expert RAW.

This is the most useful photography app in my phone. I don't know why the ratings are so poor. I use the app for astrophotography, time lapses and even for taking photos without a remote shutter. 5/5 for sure.

Worked the first time I used it when I paid for it, and every time after it's a brutal 30-minute exercise trying to get it to work and this time I can't even get it to work, so I've used the unit as little as four times. Super frustrating using Samsung s22 ultra using camera pro 3 3 second interval with a 2-second shutter. Located the red shutter button over the shutter button. Set for 500 photos

I use this app to make time-lapses for the purpose of documenting my creative process. Many times, when this app is supposed to be capturing photos in my phone's camera app, I'll return to my phone after hours of painting to see the camera app no longer active. When this happens, the menu section of Interferometer will be open. This is highly problematic because there is no indication when and if the app will crash back to the main screen. In the end I often lose hours of work.

I tried the app with just 2 images set. That was fine. I then increased the images to 10. Only 5 were taken. Wherever the number was set the images fell short. I then paid £1.69 for extended features. This did not make any difference to the images' problem. I have emailed the author about the problem a few days ago. No response.
