And unlike some of the Bible apps out there, inWORD does not display advertisements. This is because inWORD Bible is a user-supported app. You are free to use inWORD for a trial period with the hope that you will be convinced to financially support the app through a subscription. This allows inWORD to continue adding to its enormous treasury of Biblical resources.
iNWORD also includes access to hundreds of "Scripture in song" music tracks that inspire and promote the word of God through melody.
Note: To reduce the download size of the app and the footprint occupied on your device, most of the extra-Biblical resources are accessed from a remote server on an as-needed basis, which means you will need to be connected to the Internet in order to access (for example), a map or a commentary or a theological article.
The default Bible translations that accompany the app are:

Additional Bible versions are available when a subscription is purchased. Note, however, that inWORD is an English-only app. Other than the optional Greek and Hebrews Bible texts, inWORD only makes available ENGLISH Bible translations to the user.

I LOVE the Inward Bible study app! My husband and I use its “Through the Bible in 1 Year” reading program daily. There are a couple of especially unique features about this aspect of the app. First, one of its novelties is that the reading plan gets you through the Old Testament in a year, but through the New Testament twice! I love that the reading plan is ambitious about getting users exposed to scripture. Second, what I especially love about the reading program is that you can select to listen to the daily scripture readings from more than a dozen listening options that include people simply reading scripture or from assorted dramatizations of scripture. I usually listen and read along at the same time. It’s also intuitive and easy to use, but in making it user-friendly Inward hasn't cut any corners on its utility. It provides a richness of resources that I’ve not seen in any other Bible app. This is what I find especially remarkable about the app—the richness of its search functions and resources. A user can click on a verse number and be lead to countless articles, essays, and commentaries related to that verse. So, for those thorny verses that you’ve long had questions about, a variety of possible explanations are just a click away. Moreover, users aren’t charged extra to access these resources. ALL OF THEM come along automatically with the annual subscription. It also has simple to use search functions that allow you to see the interlinear of a particular verse. Another search option allows for a comparison of a translation of a particular verse across more than 40 translations of the Bible! What other Bible app does that? Incredibly, Inward also has a library of scripturally themed music and videos. When I’m stressed or working in the kitchen, I enjoy listening to the music play list. Finally, there is also a desktop version of Inward that I use routinely when I'm working on Bible study topics. It's just as easy to use as the app, and again provides a treasure trove of extra-biblical resources. In sum, this app isn't just about reading the Bible. If you want to examine the scriptures daily (Acts 17:11) and probe deep questions, Inward is the app for you. As for me, Inward has truly revolutionized my Bible study, personal devotions, and deepened my walk with God. I wouldn’t want to go a day without it!

Good, but limits audio to 20 ch / files a day. A bit disappointing because that is after you pay for the subscription. The subscription cost isn't very high though, so It's just a bit of a let-down. I wanted to be able to listen to more. It would have been nice to know beforehand that there was a limit. It would have informed me in my decision to purchase the subscription.

The Sermons and articles are from strange sources and not very theologically sound. It is always suggesting Unitarian and anti trinity materials for example. I like the Bible tools...paid for the upgrade and was so disappointed after a week I deleted the app even though I lost the money. The articles are just not sound exegesis.

It has revved, which is good. Reading plan doesn't work, which is bad. Installed just because of the plan feature, but it ain't working. 😔 also the scrolling is very cumbersome and the app scrolls forward when you switch apps losing the location you were reading.
