Oh I'm loving this Jitsi! Around since Covid - how did I not find you? Exactly what's missing in Meet, Zoom. Fam Zooms every Sun. I created a room & sent link around & it worked, all liked it. We'll keep "always open", no time limits. Getting ever-changing Zoom links out has been tricky, e.g. one member who doesn't know how to get it from text to iPad. If the one who has a paid Zoom isn't available, we get kicked off after 40 min. And so on. Jitsi seems a little buggy - crashed on bro's iPhone.

I have been the biggest jitsi advocate for the past 3 years and have used it for everything from personal calls to big meetups, to business communication. Now im sorry to say the app is basically unusable. The new moderator requirements mean that I have to log in, and jitsi cannot communicate with my (Firefox) browser. I've tried everything, but I might have to throw in the towel, the ease of use has been diluted so much it makes it hard to recommend.

The moderator requirement makes this useless to me. I loved it and am very disappointed. I used 2 3-letter meeting rooms for years without passwords. Only had other people in my room once and they left immediately. Moderation was not a problem that needed solving and there is no longer a killer feature that sets Jitsi apart. I'd like to highlight the burden this puts on older adults. I used this with my parents because it was so accessible to them - not having to deal with accounts.
