Jota+★PRO-KEY

★★★★★ Nice app Key is worth every cent. Had problems with my device being rooted. But seems OK with this version

★★★★★ Jota+ worked better than any other text editor that I tried with BlackBerry's predictive virtual keyboard (I have the BlackBerry Motion), in fact it works perfectly with the BB keyboard. That and it just seemed to be the best all-round editor that I could find and allows the user many options. I haven't figured out how to get it to highlight for the various programming languages yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I believe it is a very well-thought-out and well-built app and felt it worth the purchase price. This may be my first day with the Jota+ Pro Editor, but I've worked with enough of these apps over the years that I feel pretty confident about the quality of this one. If my opinion changes, I'll let you know.

★★★★★ I have used the Jota+ Pro version for many years. It has some quirks, such as refusing to save to my SD card without a finagle / workaround, as well as quirky menu options, but I am immensely pleased with its overall performance - I couldn't live & work without it. Jota+ Pro correctly opens all Text based files and allows me to manipulate and save the files. Updates have never harmed functionality, and the app has never malfunctioned. ★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work I paid for this piece of junk at least a year ago, and 80% of the time I run it, it asks me if I want to TRY THE PRO FEATURES. Even though I paid for the damn thing. Avoid.

★★☆☆☆ Nice when it works, but too unreliable. Frequently gives me a ** "Failed to confirm Jota+ Pro-Key License" ** and gives me the unusable ad-filled version, especially if I am outside (not an internet problem - skype still connects). Always happens when I am outside / in a meeting and need to enter text. Would be a good app, but the developer's intense focus on checking and re-checking that you really have a license harms the app's usability. An app you have paid for has to be available when you need it, not just sometimes.
