Game is Hard!! But a good hard The retro feel of the game takes me back, and I love it.
★★★★★
Simple gameplay and controls with frustrating difficulty. This is just like the AVGN video game except it's like an auto scroller where your character keeps on moving. The controls are jump and shoot that's it! Has 16 short challenging levels that will make you rage but with enough practice you'll eventually clear the level and potentially the whole game. This game is fun until you get bored with it because the replay value is low, and the game doesn't offer a lot to keep you playing.
★★☆☆☆
Crashes on Startup - Galaxy S3 When I launch the game, I see a black screen for a split second, and then I am sent back to the OS. I see no in-game assets. I have rebooted the phone, and I am still unable to run it. I am running Android 4.4.2 on a Galaxy S3. The device is *not* rooted. Emailed their support team, and waiting to hear back from them.
★★☆☆☆
Auto run, not shoot I get what they were going for: streamlined control. But the game doesn't win me over to this type of platformer. There are free games that offer more. I bought it to have a handheld version of the AVGN game, and would have preferred more control. The jump here is based on how long you hold. Basically, tap for a little jump, and hold for a bigger. Doesn't seem to work well if trying to shoot at the same time. So, memorizing where to shoot and where to jump for a speed run is the essence of the game.
