Just Point: Compass

Navigate with Freedom – Your Guide to the World
Keep your eyes on your surroundings, not on the screen. This app is made for those who want reliable and simple navigation that works just as well in the forest as in the city.

Perfect for your adventures:
- Mushroom & berry picking: Save your favorite spots with one tap and easily find them again next season.
- Hiking & orienteering: Set waypoints and follow the arrow. It’s the perfect complement to a physical map and compass when you want quick confirmation of your direction.
- Safety in the forest: Never get lost again. Mark where you parked your car or pitched your tent, and the arrow will guide you home — as the crow flies.

Why choose this app?
Unlike regular map apps that demand constant attention, we focus on direction and presence. A simple arrow shows the way, letting you enjoy your surroundings instead of getting stuck in a digital map.

Key features:
- Smart direction indicator: An arrow shows the exact direction (as the crow flies) and distance to your target, based on compass and GPS.
- Easy navigation: Place pins on the map or enter coordinates (latitude/longitude) manually.
- Personalized place details: Give each location its own name, description, and unique color to quickly identify the right arrow.
- Smart place organization: Create your own groups for your locations. Have one group for “Summer Cabin,” one for “Favorite Fishing Spots,” and another for “Best Mushroom Finds.”
- Works offline: Designed to function without internet. Save your places locally on your phone.
- Crisis preparedness: Ensure that you and your family can always find a meeting point, even if internet or GPS services are limited.
- Privacy: Your position and saved places never leave your phone. We follow strict GDPR standards.

Flexible for all conditions:
The app has built‑in fallback methods to work even when technology falters:

1. Full access: GPS, internet, and compass sensors work together for maximum precision.
2. Fully offline: Use cached maps, enter coordinates manually, or use saved places as reference points.
3. Manual compass: If your phone’s sensor is disrupted, you can sync the direction manually with a physical compass.

Take control of your data
Your locations are stored only locally. We recommend regularly using the app’s export function to back up your coordinates via email, cloud storage, or USB drive. That way, you keep your important places when switching phones or reinstalling the app.

Under continuous development
The app is actively developed in Stockholm, Sweden. We focus heavily on minimizing dependence on external services. We use data from OpenStreetMap and are working on features like fully downloadable offline maps and our own address‑search service.
