Pretty good alternative to Google Translate. It doesn't feature a live view translation overlay, but it can translate text on fotos and existing image files, so that's good enough for me.

Literally the best translation tool there is. Edit: I see the alternative translation explanations are now missing compared to the old app and the web app, this is a big miss in my opinion as it's really helpful to see why an alternative might be better or not for the specific situation - now alternative translations are mostly irrelevant

Kagi doing great work as always. It's early in the App's lifespan - I am only missing the sophisticated alternative translations feature and the option to save/load the translation profiles I already set up on the web app.

I'm impressed. The app delivers a very well executed user experience, with accurate translations and zero nonsense. When you scan an image, the output is not an image as with Google's Translate, or other translation software, with a translation on top. You get text, extracted, broken down into bullet points (if you're translating a manual), and formatted to aid comprehension, in natural language and tone.

Kagi Translate is excellent overall! One important request — please add offline mode with downloadable language packs, similar to Google Translate. Also, optimize the app for unstable networks like 2G, as it struggles on weak connections. Many users in India face frequent network fluctuations. Offline support would make Kagi Translate a strong privacy-focused alternative to Google Translate.
