Pretty good alternative to Google Translate. It doesn't feature a live view translation overlay, but it can translate text on fotos and existing image files, so that's good enough for me.

Great options for japanese, such as level of politeness, masculine/feminine etc. One missing piece though is the ability to display fumigant. Without it's really hard to use if you don't know how to read kanji.

Kagi doing great work as always. It's early in the App's lifespan - I am only missing the sophisticated alternative translations feature and the option to save/load the translation profiles I already set up on the web app.

It's def not bad, but I don't understand why it's being so downgraded. It used to be the best translators I've ever used (when it was built-in the default Kagi app). It had word insights and insanely good text-to-speech, but that progressively got worse, and now I'm forced to use this app? Also the built-in dictionary looks promising but feels under baked for now. I'm genuinely VERY confused (and very disappointed). The whole thing feels like early-beta, but it's not marketed as such.

Kagi Translate is excellent overall! One important request — please add offline mode with downloadable language packs, similar to Google Translate. Also, optimize the app for unstable networks like 2G, as it struggles on weak connections. Many users in India face frequent network fluctuations. Offline support would make Kagi Translate a strong privacy-focused alternative to Google Translate.
