Kalix: Firearm Vault

Finally, not just another generic spreadsheet-style firearm logbook.

Built from the ground up in Dart/Flutter for a true mobile-first experience, Kalix gives responsible firearm owners a cleaner, more capable way to manage firearms, ammunition, training records, maintenance history, gear, and supporting documents - all in one private system.

Kalix was created by a passionate firearm owner and independent developer who wanted something better than basic text-heavy trackers, scattered notes, and outdated spreadsheets. It was built from real-world needs first, then refined into a serious mobile platform for others who want a more modern, professional system.

Kalix is local-first and privacy-focused. Your records stay on your device, giving you direct control over your data, backups, and exports - no cloud account required.

FIREARM VAULT
• Track every firearm in a structured, visual vault with photos, specs, and status
• Separate and filter Personal vs. Duty/Work firearms at a glance
• Mark a firearm Active or Inactive - ideal for a seasonal rifle or long-term storage - with a custom "inactive for X days" alert threshold
• Review firearm stats, usage timelines, and full activity history

RANGE & TRAINING
• Log Live Range trips, Dry Fire practice, Duty/Work Qualification sessions, and Planned upcoming sessions
• Interactive Target & Group Analysis - tap directly on a target photo to mark each shot in numbered sequence, then replay the group shot-by-shot
• KALIX Insights turns logged sessions into real trends: top calibers used, rounds fired over time, and ammo burn rate
• Brag a Little: turn any range session into a shareable trading card, in multiple styles, to send to friends and family

AMMO INVENTORY
• On-hand totals, lifetime totals, and live inventory value
• Automatic Cost-Per-Round (CPR) calculated for every entry
• Low-ammo and out-of-stock alerts, plus quick QR scan-to-restock

GEAR, DOCUMENTS & MAINTENANCE
• Organize gear, holsters, magazines, accessories, and wishlists, including a dedicated ammo wishlist
• A full Document Vault for receipts, warranties, manuals, licenses, and permits - linked directly to the related firearm, with expiration alerts before a permit or license lapses
• Track service history and maintenance intervals, with reminders based on calendar dates or rounds fired since the last service

ALERT CENTER
Kalix watches your vault so you don't have to:
• Low ammo & out-of-stock
• Maintenance & parts-life due
• Document & permit expiration
• Inactive-firearm check-ins
• Upcoming planned sessions
Every threshold is configurable, with optional phone notifications.

SECURITY, BACKUPS & REPORTS
• PIN-protected app lock with configurable auto-lock after inactivity
• Create local backups and restore your full record set anytime, with no cloud dependency
• Generate a clean report/export of your records for printing, insurance, or safekeeping

Every list in Kalix - Vault, Ammo, Range, Gear - is fully searchable and filterable, so a growing collection never feels cluttered.

Kalix is built for responsible owners who want more than a simple log app - real ownership workflow, training documentation, maintenance planning, and long-term recordkeeping in a polished, fluent mobile experience.

Important:
Kalix is an organizational recordkeeping tool. It is not a marketplace, does not facilitate firearm sales, and is not intended to promote weapons to minors. Users are responsible for following all local, state, and federal laws, using the app responsibly, and protecting their own devices, backups, and sensitive information.

What's New in Kalix

Save links on any firearm (maintenance videos, manuals or favorite sites) and open them in one tap.

Moving around Kalix is smoother: a new glide between screens, a quicker back, animated tab switching and optional haptic feedback in More → Appearance.

The Vault card reveal now plays right after you unlock, and tabs no longer flash while they refresh.
