Latvia, but whole world. Karosta is one of the most exceptional sights in Latvia. You
may like or dislike it, but it certainly will not leave you indifferent.
If you have to choose a destination for your trip, why not go to Karosta, where you

This place was chosen at the end of the 19th century for the military objectives of the
Russian Empire. Here you can see a city within a city or another edge of Liepaja - a
contrast between military minimalism and romantic luxurious splendor.
Today, Karosta, once the port of Emperor Alexander III, is a magnet for the curious
people. Harsh and at the same time romantic, this mysterious pearl of Liepāja is
wrapped in stories and legends. Here you can feel the breath of time long gone, find
historical testimonies and enjoy active leisure attractions.
