KATRETTER alarmiert freiwillige Helfer bei Notfällen und Krisenlagen in der direkten Umgebung

Bei der Rettung von Menschen zählt oft jede Minute. In vielen Notsituationen oder Krisenlagen könnten Freiwillige mit ihren unterschiedlichen Kenntnissen und Fähigkeiten mithelfen. Das KATRETTER-System unterstützt die Rettungsdienste dabei, die passenden Freiwilligen in Sekundenschnelle zu informieren – mobil, rechtssicher und ortsgenau.

In Notfällen wie dem Herz-Kreislauf-Stillstand, aber auch in weiteren Krisensituationen alarmiert die Leitstelle per Smartphone-App Freiwillige in der Nähe des Einsatzes. Entsprechend der registrierten Qualifikation beginnen die freiwilligen „Ersthelfer“ mit Rettungsmaßnahmen, schon bevor die professionellen Rettungskräfte eintreffen. Oder sie unterstützen als engagierte „Mithelfer“ den Einsatz durch einfache Tätigkeiten. Welche Helferinnen und Helfer wann alarmiert werden, entscheidet das KATRETTER-System anonym und nach registrierter Qualifikation.

Unterschiedliche Einsätze machen verschiedene Arten der freiwilligen Unterstützung nötig:

Ersthelfer haben eine Ausbildung im Bereich der Medizin oder arbeiten im Rettungswesen und können zum Beispiel erste Wiederbelebungsmaß- nahmen einleiten. Dafür müssen sie sich speziell als Ersthelfer registrieren – natürlich kostenlos.

Mithelfer bringen sich auch ohne spezifische Kenntnisse ein: Ob für das Füllen von Sandsäcken bei einem Hochwasser oder für die erste Be-treuung verunsicherter Menschen in Krisensituationen. Mithelfer können KATRETTER ohne Angabe einer spezifischen Qualifikation kostenlos nutzen.

KATRETTER ist eine Kooperation der Berliner Feuerwehr, der gemeinnützigen Forschungs- einrichtung Fraunhofer-Institut für Offene Kommunikationssysteme (FOKUS) und der nicht gewinnorientierten CombiRisk GmbH.
