Wrost service. I would like to stop banking with KBC VERZEKERINGEN bank and never recommend anyone.

The app now (since 2023) forces you to have a Google account. No alternative downloads offered besides installation from the Play Store. Luckily other major banks in Belgium do not follow course. Customer service makes flaky security claims, but a direct download of the apk package from the KBC website would provide a secure solution without forcing customers to create and maintain a Google account. Too bad, because the app otherwise did a fine job.

First off, they're bandits. Since I got 25 years old, they automatically (without notifying me) changed my account to a kbc plus account, charging me 3.25 euro per month for features that I never used or needed. Only noticed it a year later. Secondly, the app is a confusing maze, with some features hidden behind 10 different screens, and other features only available when the app shows it, like Kate Insight. There are some nice things to the app though, but nothing that other banks don't have.
