Great app, fills a void in the Android O/S which is the ability to ensure a background task doesn't go away without your consent. This is useful because some things you really want to run in the background, you end up having to run as a foreground service to prevent it from being killed (like a call blocker), creating annoying persistent notifications. Or maybe you don't have the option to run it in the foreground. The only flaw is that you can't just restart the background service, you can only restart the app's UI. So when it does it's thing, the full app UI will appear momentarily. In the paid version you can tell it to go back to the app you had open, which is OK, but it would be better if you could just silently restart the background service, as it did on boot for persistent apps. Not a dealbreaker, but would be 5 stars with that improvement. Otherwise does what it says. (Am using Android M).

NOTE that, while this app works exactly as described, it cannot force all of your apps to remain open. Also note that restarts are done as a foreground service. This excellent little app is perfect - within the limitations placed on it by the Android OS. It presents you with a list of your apps, and you select the one(s), up to a total of three for this free version, that you want to remain open. It then restarts the app every time it force closes for the period of time that you designate. Note that it cannot force the app to stay open and running; it simply recognizes when the app closes and restarts it. Ty very much to the developer for this very useful tool!

I find it funny that an app that's supposed to keep other apps running in the background when they close or crash, keeps on crashing and closing itself.

It simply doesnt work for my tablet. It doesnt prevent my apps from crashing and it doesnt restart them after they do crash
