More than just colours: The Keyboard Designer is a complete keyboard that works in every app. Unlike other keyboards, you don't just tweak colours — you build the whole keyboard: arrange keys freely, set sizes, choose labels, assign any function to any key. No other keyboard offers this kind of control.
Privacy guaranteed: The app requests no permissions whatsoever — not even internet access. That makes it technically impossible for anything you type to leave your device. Passwords, private messages, contact info stay where they belong: with you.

Keyboard designer is the 2nd best customizable virtual keyboard on the market. You can change every aspect of existing presets, or create entirely new keyboards from scratch. The only other keyboard I'd say is equal, maybe even better; would be the unexpected keyboard with XML editing. But if you're not technologically inclined, and need a custom keyboard, keyboard designer would be the one for you.

It seems fine overall, but I think its lacking the feature im looking for. I'm trying to find a keyboard that can actively type color coded symbols. Not just have the keys be colored. Like if I were to type a 1, it would be yellow or in italics on a PDF.

I can't figure out these instructions. How the heck do I change what character I get when I press shift and then a key? I'm just trying to recreate the actual symbols on the number row, so I can type the at symbol by pressing shift + 2

I figured out how to move the enter key but beyond that learning curve for this app is ridiculous. Plus no text prediction option.

Horrible,! Here is the message I tried to write with the default keyboard design: "I'm surprised at, how differrntcthr keyboard, is,from gboard. Thr, defaukt nkeyds are, so tiny it is, impossible to type correctly. There is, no soellinh correction. Worst, of all, no swype key entry(excavation mork). I hate, this,app!!!" Also, the space bar can't be used to position the edit point (caret). I'm writing this with the Google keyboard, and it works so much better! Oh, and also the instructions are bad!!!
