Description

Chroma keying is an effect used for compositing two video clips together, by removing a background based on color (for example using a green screen). But there’s more to keying than just chroma keying, as you will find out in this course, by visual FX artist Kevin P McAuliffe.

Kevin starts by revealing the important differences between a Matte key (or an Alpha channel) and a Chroma key. Then, he dives into codecs, containers, and track mattes. Kevin also reveals one of the most powerful secret weapons at your disposal in AE, the Difference Matte. All keying tools and features available in After Effects CC are covered, and Kevin demonstrates how to use them to render professional and realistic keying work!
