This app isn't created by Google. It's a 3rd party app which pulls YouTube videos. There's another app YouTube kids, which is related to regular YouTube, but it isn't available in my country. I'm an adult and this app prevents me from spending too much time on the internet. There were some problems like flashing advertisements and not being able to search but reinstalling the app fixed those problems. I like the various options like turning off shorts and many others.
