Kineto - Vehicle Motion Cues

Do you feel dizzy, nauseous, or uncomfortable when looking at your phone or tablet in a moving vehicle? Kineto provides visual Vehicle Motion Cues designed to help reduce the sensory conflict associated with motion discomfort.
Whether you are reading, browsing social media, answering emails, or watching videos during a commute or road trip, Kineto displays subtle, responsive motion cues along the edges of your screen. These cues reflect the movement of the vehicle and may help make screen use more comfortable while traveling.
■ How Vehicle Motion Cues Work
Motion sickness, also known as kinetosis, can occur when there is a mismatch between what your eyes see and what your inner ear senses.
When you look at a stationary screen inside a moving car, bus, train, or other vehicle, your eyes may perceive little movement while your inner ear detects acceleration, braking, vibration, and turns. This sensory mismatch may contribute to symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, cold sweats, and headaches.
Kineto uses your device’s motion sensors to display synchronized visual cues that respond to changes in vehicle movement. By providing additional visual information about motion, the app is designed to help reduce sensory mismatch for some users.
■ Key Features
• Real-Time Vehicle Motion Cues: Animated cue dots move along the edges of your screen in response to acceleration, braking, lane changes, and turns.
• On-Device Motion Processing: Kineto uses supported device sensors, including the accelerometer and gyroscope, to detect changes in movement.
• Automatic Vehicle Detection: Auto Mode can detect movement associated with vehicle travel, activate motion cues automatically, and pause them when they are no longer needed.
• Floating Screen Overlay: Motion cues can appear over compatible apps, including readers, web browsers, social media apps, and video players, without intentionally blocking taps, swipes, or keyboard input.
• Customizable Display: Adjust the number and size of cue dots, movement sensitivity, contrast, and visual theme to suit your preferences.
• Quick Settings Tile: Add Kineto to the Android Quick Settings panel for convenient access.
• Lightweight Operation: Designed to limit resource and battery usage during operation.
• Offline Motion Processing: Motion sensor data is processed on your device. Kineto does not require GPS, camera, or microphone access for motion cue functionality.
■ Designed for Passengers
