Kladde: Gradebook for Teachers

Kladde is the offline gradebook and class register for teachers: attendance, participation, homework, grades and seating charts in one teacher app. Your data stays encrypted on your phone, with no account, no cloud and no ads.

Kladde opens your class register on the lesson that is in progress. Taking attendance is one tap per student, so is tracking participation, and every change can be undone for 30 seconds.

CLASS REGISTER
• Attendance in one tap: present, absent, late or excused
• Participation with plus, minus and star, with a running tally
• Homework set in the lesson log and checked off in the next lesson
• Timetable with A/B weeks, terms and holidays
• Random name picker, lesson timer and notes for each student

GRADEBOOK
• Enter points and see the grade right next to them
• Weighted categories, class average and grade distribution, calculated for you
• Grade projection: the score a student needs on the next test for each grade
• Boundary alerts: who is close to the next grade, and on which side
• A grade key for each test: straight, the German Knick, or the IHK table
• Grading systems for the US (A to F), the UK (percent), Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain and Italy

SEATING CHARTS AND THE WEEK
• Seating charts in eight room layouts, arranged automatically by your rules, such as "at the front" or "keep apart"
• Weekly overview: who has not been called on, and absences that keep landing on the same weekday. Counted, never judged
• Classroom display for the projector with a timer, a random picker, groups and a volume signal

REPORTS AND PARENT CONFERENCES
• Student report, grade list, attendance sheet, seating chart and substitute pack as PDF
• CSV export for spreadsheets
• Parent conference view: only one student is on screen

PRIVACY: OFFLINE AND ENCRYPTED
Kladde has no internet permission, so it cannot upload anything. The database is encrypted with AES-256 (SQLCipher) and the key is kept in the Android keystore. The app lock and the screenshot block are free. Backups are encrypted files protected by a password you choose. Check your school's rules on keeping student data on a personal device; Kladde keeps your gradebook local, offline and protected.

FREE AND PRO
Free: one class, the last 14 days, attendance, participation, homework, entering points, the timer, three notes per student, the app lock and backups.
Kladde Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: every class and the whole record, the gradebook with averages, grade keys and projections, automatic seating charts, the weekly overview, reports and the parent conference view, the classroom display, daily backups and the move to a new school year.

Kladde is a teacher app for keeping grades and attendance on your phone, available in English and German.
