Description
Klawerjas is one of the most popular card games in South Africa, traditionally played on a social level at home (kombuis klawerjas), Universities and Colleges as well as competitively in organised league structures in certain parts of the country namely Western Cape, Eastern Cape & Uitenhage Region.
The game was brought to South Africa by the Dutch and is for 4 players who play in pairs (partners), sitting opposite each other. Klawerjas (Klaverjassen in Dutch) is also the national game of the Netherlands and has been played there for several centuries.
This South African version is very different to the Netherlands' version and can be said to be influenced by another South African card game Thunee which is very popular in Kwa-Zulu Natal. One such difference for example is that Roem is based on certain sequence of cards held in ones hand rather that cards discarded to a trick.

Loving it. Lost many hours of my life to this game in the short time I've had it. Would recommend adding something to keep track of number of flaggies, varies, etc. For and against. Then as everyone else also saying, online with friends etc. will be awesome addition.

There is a mistake in the App with the Sturk roemte rule. You can only go on with Sturk if you pick up that slaggie so if you roem Sturk and your opponent picks up the slaggie then they can go on with that same slaggie even though you roem Sturk. Other than that it is a nice App. Well done!

The computer definitely has the upper hand, and it becomes highly frustrating. Don't download this app, you will be playing with non troef 7,8 and 9s in your hand every round while the computer gets 50s, 20s and all the troef. And I'm not even going to begin with having a computer as a partner. Don't download this app.

Can't play offline with bots, and the bots are trash your (partner) bot will trump higher than (you) to take a low scoring round and give 11 points away the next round well knowing we going to lose. (EDIT) wait it gets worse... the Bot would throw Manel on an 8 slaggie knowing the opponent after him has boer open. EDIT. Less than 1 star

Nice entertainment. However, a few shortcomings. Why are games allowed to go over 5/6 strokes? Why is there a waiting limit if someone left the game? It all depends on what a person has to attend to. No waiting time !! Sometimes when a game starts, there is already strokes for or against. When you have an ACE twenty or fifty, and it is not troef, you are not allowed to size.
