Comments on Knitandnote: Knitting app for Android

★★★★☆ Janice McDowell · Mar 15, 2023

Easy to use, and have made 4 projects using the app. Great that my row counts can be picked up on my tablet or later on my phone if I'm away from home with my knitting project. Looking forward to more features, like being able to use hyperlinks.

★★★★☆ Bonnie Mawer · Aug 24, 2023

I like this app. It's very useful for tracking progress and cataloging my yarn. My only issue with the app is that when cataloging yarn, it requires a brand and skein length, and as someone who often buys yarn thrifted/second hand, the skein length and brand is something that can be hard to know. I can get around the brand bit by putting in "thrifted", but I wish there was some way around the skein length section because guessing messes with my stats. Otherwise, it's a very good app :)

★★★★☆ Nicola Iliffe · Jul 28, 2023

An excellent app to keep track of ongoing projects, row counts, patterns and yarn stash. It has a notes section that can be used as you wish (I sometimes copy the pattern out, so I can track rows when working on socks) and useful tutorials for different cast ons and techniques. Only downside is that it doesn't work offline at the moment.

★☆☆☆☆ Felicity Cook · Sep 20, 2025

Had this app for a couple of years, it started off amazing - the yarn storage, calculating how many meters of yarn you had knotted over the year - so much fun! They introduced a premium level which made sense, but not wanting to set up yet another monthly subscription I stuck with the free version. This was fine for a while, but then they started pay walling standard services, most recently the row counter, ruler, and patten marker functions. A blatant cash grab and I will be deleting my account

★☆☆☆☆ Hailey Bischoff · Sep 21, 2025

The devs moved nearly all features behind a paywall, even including the row counters, without giving any prior notice. They're asking €50/annual membership to even upload more patterns. Absolutely disappointed.

★☆☆☆☆ Ananya Biswas · Apr 26, 2026

All features are locked behind a laughable pay wall. Why should I subscribe when there are other resources where I can get the same services for free? You also have to pay to access the pattern library — which will give you access to simple, childish patterns like a scarf made entirely out of garter stitch. Absolutely not worth the money. This is a complete scam, 0/10 would NOT recommend.
