I have been making beats for the last 17 years, and I have made beats in much hardware and PC software. But nothing beats Koala Sampler on Android or IOS, in my opinion. And don't let the simplicity look of it fool you. Because the fact is that Koala Sampler is for beginners and Pro alike. And the developer is always taking Koala Sampler a level higher. And he is definitely the best developer in the market without doubt. So, in my personal opinion, Koala Sampler is the King of Samples

Update after a full year of playing: This app got even better with the simple addition of the midi note-out sample. Now, Koala sampler can be used as a very competent sequencer for your hardware synths. So, Right now, you can have a fancy metronome, mixer, groove box, sampler, midi sequencer and more in an easy and fun to use package for about 12 euros

Horrible experience, it doesn't work, I currently have no sound. It doesn't let me record my tracks when I do have working audio, I'm assuming an update broke the app, no idea.

The sampler works smoothly, but I am pretty disappointed at the lack of effects that can be applied to the sample after recording it, so that you can really play around with the sound. You can apply a single effect as you record, but there aren't a lot of options to change it up after.
