Update - August 2026 FINALLY the new update is SO much better 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 original review - winter 2025 I think? LOVE Kobo plus but the app is so slow it's killing me. It will hardly ever load "My Books" page on the first try. It will sit trying to load for literally minutes. Close out, try again, sometimes it works. Browsing to choose new books works better, the home screen loads fine but the My Books tab takes FORVER.

The new update is hard to understand, and it doesn't sync with the book I have, the ones I know I've read say unread. The home page is more shop than it was before, if I want to look for a new book I'll go to shop I don't want it on my home page

EDIT 23 August 2026 While the Kobo app definitely needed work, the recent changes are a massive step backward. It was slow and clunky, but generally usable. The library in particular is almost unusable with a large library and the store isn't much better. And It's still as slow as ever. It's like you want me to renew my Kindle Unlimited subscription
