Kotlin is a cross-platform, statically typed, general-purpose programming language with type inference. Kotlin is designed to interoperate fully with Java, and the JVM version of its standard library depends on the Java Class Library, but type inference allows its syntax to be more concise. Kotlin mainly targets the JVM, but also compiles to JavaScript or native code (via LLVM). Kotlin is sponsored by JetBrains and Google through the Kotlin Foundation. Kotlin is officially supported and preferred by Google for mobile development on Android.

Nice for most common scientific programming. Couldn't get special functions to work ! Standard mathematical functions can be used by using import kotlin.math.*. Only 4 stars for now. Please keep the app updated. Thanks ! 😁

For some reason it shows sometimes "can't complete purchase" and I cannot click it away. The only way to continue working is when closing the app through the tabs and reopening the app again. Else it has nice syntax highlighter so It's nice to just use it as a plain editor.

So, I thought this app would be useful to try some things out in Kotlin without a computer, but turns out that it uses an outdated version of Kotlin (1.3.20 to be precise) and the in-app purchase touts to provide more recent versions of the compiler, but as far as I can tell, that is not the case (considering 1.3.20 is the version after "upgrading" and that is 3 years old and 4 minor versions behind the current stable release). A lot has changed in Kotlin since then.

I attempted to do a simple code like: var num1 = 5 var num2 = 6 var res = println(num1 + num2) println("valor" + res) Result was: 11 Valor kotlin. Unit So, it is not working properly.
