⛏️ Miner's Kozel — "The Mat rules them all!"
• 36-card deck, 9 cards per player
• The deal decides the trump: it follows the Jack of Clubs, and nobody names it
• The Six of trumps, the "Mat", beats every card in the game, even all four Jacks
• Next come the Jacks: Clubs › Spades › Hearts › Diamonds
👑 Classic Kozel — "The Shamok beats them all!"
• 24- or 32-card deck, 6 or 8 cards per player
• Fixed or chosen trump: the player holding the marker names the suit
• The Shamok is the highest trump, followed by the Queens and Jacks
• Special Queen of Clubs rule: it can cost a team 4 penalty points at once
🎯 Common rules
Score 31 points and you've made your "spas". Take no tricks at all and it's a "Lyusya", 12 penalty points on the spot. Equal points for both teams means "eggs", and the cards are dealt again. The first team to reach 12 penalty points loses and becomes the "goats"!
