KTO

KTO is an offline reference: dinosaurs and the mesozoic.

• Theropods — 14 species
• Sauropods & ornithischians — 14 species
• Eras & science — 14 topics
• Glossary — 19 terms
• Quiz — questions built from the same entries
• Favorites — keep the entries you return to

KTO has a short summary line and a few paragraphs of description. Search works inside each section. Nothing is downloaded: all 42 entries ship inside the app and work without a connection.

KTO covers the best-known dinosaurs of the Mesozoic era, from theropod predators such as Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor to sauropods, horned and armoured ornithischians and duck-billed hadrosaurs, with each entry giving size, period, diet, distinguishing anatomy and where the fossils were found. A third section explains the three periods, Pangaea, the end-Cretaceous extinction, fossilisation, dating methods, feathers, the bird connection and the major fossil sites.

KTO were compiled from published palaeontological descriptions, museum catalogues and review articles; size and age figures are rounded estimates that vary between studies and are updated as new specimens are described. The app works fully offline. It is a general reference for curious readers and students, not a scientific database.
