La Devesa Elche destaca por su constante innovación en metodologías de aprendizaje, sustentadas en una continua investigación de las tendencias más modernas y sabiéndolas equilibrar con aquellas más tradicionales, pero que tienen un valor importante para nosotros, de tal manera que hemos definido un modelo educativo propio que se refleja en nuestro centro. Desde la entrada en el siglo XXI, se hizo patente la necesidad de cambiar los roles del profesor-alumno, centrando el foco del aprendizaje en el niño. Se plantean así nuevos retos, nuevos objetivos pedagógicos, nuevos enfoques educativos. Entre todos ellos, nos planteamos cuáles son las competencias que nuestro alumnado necesita en la sociedad del siglo XXI, que sirvió como base para redefinir nuestro Modelo Pedagógico Grupo Sorolla Educación (GSE), que integra, entre otros muchos objetivos, la aplicación de nuevas metodologías activas en las que el alumno es el verdadero protagonista de su propio aprendizaje, fomentando su autonomía en la gestión su tiempo y de su aprendizaje; la distribución y creación de nuevos espacios de aprendizaje; las infraestructuras y recursos educativos que permitan atender a cada uno de los alumnos de manera diferencial y personalizada, pero también que promuevan el trabajo cooperativo y la comunicación eficiente.
