You arrive in Yaba with N5,000, no assets and a dream. Every morning you choose what to do with your day: work a job, chase a side hustle, study, trade, rest. Every day the city takes its cut. How far you go is up to you.
THE HUSTLE
Start with street-level work - sell pure water, run errands - and climb through 15 careers in three tiers, from Street Vendor to Fleet Owner. Each career has five levels, and the better ones have skill, vehicle and property requirements to meet before you can move up.
THE CITY
Six districts, each with its own cost of living, opportunity and risk: Yaba, Surulere, Ikeja, Ajah, Lekki and Victoria Island. Move when you can afford it - the opportunities get bigger where the rent does. Trade at Balogun Market, wander Computer Village, study, eat, rest.
THE EMPIRE
Fifteen businesses to build, from a N15,000 Snacks Business to a N60,000,000 Oil Company - and the Lagos Rise Foundation, when you want to give back. The big ones grow in stages: the Food Company runs from Farm Sourcing to a Consumer Empire, the Oil Company from Oil Lease and Exploration to a Petrochemical Empire. Hire staff, invest in growth, or close early and cut your losses.
Four property types earn rent while you sleep, six vehicles from Bicycle to Truck open up careers and businesses, and five homes from Face-Me-I-Face-You to a Lekki Mansion raise your comfort. Personal, Bank and Business loans fund the next move - at a daily interest that does not wait.
YOUR CHARACTER
Pick a playstyle - ethical, balanced or aggressive - and one of eight traits, each with its own edge: Hard Worker earns 8% more per shift, Street Smart starts with trading and hustle skill, Risk Taker gets lucky more often, Night Owl earns 10% more in the evening. Build five skills - trading, business, technology, marketing and finance - and manage your energy, hunger, stress and reputation.
THE CITY PUSHES BACK
Fuel price increases, traffic gridlock, rent due, power outages, a phone stolen. Then a market opportunity, a partnership offer, a bank loan offer. Twenty-three events, eight compliance events - regulatory inspections, financial audits, environmental fines - and fourteen black swans that can change everything: an oil boom, a government contract, a foreign investor, an unexpected inheritance. Your hustle score, compliance, reputation and investor trust decide how much the city lets you get away with.
THE GOAL
N1,000,000,000 net worth makes you a Lagos Mogul. N1,000,000,000,000 makes you a Lagos Trillionaire. Go bankrupt with no assets and no job, and the run is over.
LAGOS ONLINE, IF YOU WANT IT
Create a free account with a street name and a PIN - no email needed - and your save follows you across devices, you can send money to other players, and you join the city leaderboard with the live count of who is playing right now. Entirely optional: the game plays fully offline, and a local save needs no account at all.
WHAT THIS GAME IS NOT
The naira in Lagos Hustle is play money. There is nothing to cash out, no real-world prizes, and no gambling for real money - the betting slips and card games inside cost in-game cash only. The Google Play version sells nothing at all: no in-app purchases. No adverts. No analytics, no trackers. We collect only what Lagos Online needs - your player name, your hashed PIN, your save and your transfers - and account deletion is one request away.
