LANDFALL is a hurricane simulation for players who want more than a spinning icon on a map. You draw the actual path. You manage real intensification conditions. You decide where it makes landfall.
REAL METEOROLOGY Sea surface temperature, wind shear, Saharan dust, moisture — these drive how your storm behaves. Warm water and low shear, and a storm can explode into rapid intensification. Dry air and high shear choke it. Learn to read the conditions and you'll consistently beat players who just draw toward the nearest city.
Over 600 real coastal cities worldwide, each with real population and economic weight baked into scoring.
NINE STORM ACTIONS Absorb heat. Suppress shear. Ride the jet stream. Contract the eyewall. Redraw your track mid-flight. Every action costs energy earned by hitting cities and intensifying — every choice is a trade-off, not a free power-up.
FIVE DIFFICULTY TIERS ENSO-based, from Super La Niña (forgiving) to Super El Niño (relentless shear, for masochists only). These change the actual atmospheric conditions you're fighting, not just an enemy health bar.
CONCURRENT STORMS Spawn more than one in a season and manage them together. Get two close enough and a real Fujiwhara interaction unfolds — merge them, or ride out the chaos as their tracks pull at each other.
METEOROLOGICAL BRIEFINGS 240+ scripted events can fire mid-storm. Some help — a warm eddy sitting right on your track. Some don't — a sudden shear spike, a mistaken tsunami warning. Basin-specific, so a Western Pacific season feels genuinely different from an Atlantic one.
