Landline Mate

This is a simple app to make a land line calls using your existing dial-up modem. There is a server desktop application that controls the modem and it gets its orders from this app, which tells it to dial a given phone number or to hang up the line. This App also supports DTMF (dual tone multi frequency) dial tone dialling. For best results, it is recommended to place the phone speaker directly on top of the land line phone microphone.

This app communicates with the server desktop application through the WiFi network. With this app you can:
1-Save on your mobile plan minutes by easily and quickly making a land line phone call, which was initiated using your smart phone.
2-Save time on looking up a phone number stored on your smart phone only to slowly key it in your land line telephone.
3-Receive notification on your smart phone when your land line is ringing, this way you can tell if your land line phone is ringing even if you are in another room of the house. Also you get the last time stamp log of when you have received or missed a land line phone call.

Please take these simple steps to set up a working system.
1-Install the Landline Mate server app.
2-Connect your dial-up modem to your PC and connect the other side to the land line.
3-Start this mobile app and either manually enter a phone number or select a phone number from your contacts list, make sure that the server app PC and your mobile phone are on the same WiFi network.
4-Press dial on the main screen and lift up your land line hand set to hear the call going through.
5-Hangup the modem when the call is placed.
6-Happy talking.
