This is amazing. This app makes flashcards for writing/listening/learning the words you've seen in the textbook/apps you're using to learn Chinese. I personally find it very helpful. Simple suggestion: please add a way to mark words that we get right (especially in writing sessions) but we feel there's still room for practice. Thanks for your efforts.

It doesn't say anywhere if it's Mandarin or Cantonese. I assume it's Mandarin then, but would be nice to know, especially for those who don't know the difference. UPD: But I was asking about Mandarin vs Cantonese, not about Traditional vs Simplified. It would be nice to put it into the description that it's for the Mandarin dialect only, but supports both the Simplified and Traditional writing systems. The current description only says HSK but not everyone knows that it refers to Mandarin.

Totally game changing for me. I was struggling to find an app with pre-made word lists, a nice UI, and spaced repetition. But laoshi does it all. It even has the new hsk 3.0 vocabulary. If you already know some Chinese you can swipe left on a word in the list to set it as known. Pre-made lists for my textbooks and other apps? So useful.

Force to buy a subscription plan when first set up the app. Supposed to see whether laoshi covers my textbook but the fact that I have to pay before trying anything is ridiculously greedy!

Edit: It works now. There was an update going on I guess. I don't know how but it works now! The reply was quick, and thanks for responding! ＼(ﾟ∀ﾟ)／ I'm really happy about it! I'll change my review soon after I use the app.😊 Edit: I tried tapping on everything and a subscription list pops up. So, I can study only if I pay? Are there any free features?

Why should you pay for an unknown app that has no free options when you can learn any language for free using the internet? It's just a waste of time hidden under a pretty cover of free successful learning.
