This app allows me to set shortcuts to apps and activities in a scrolling 1×2 widget. Using it on a side panel, I have quick, convenient access to functions that make my user experience extremely satisfying. Adding Alex Terns Shortcut Creator app to the widget, I can access even more settings and activities. I can cast a video without pausing or minimizing, etc., or tether, and share without closing a tab.

I love this app. I've used Multiton since I got my first Android phone, way back in the Frodo era, but nobody's maintained Multiton for ages, and it's starting to have problems with newer systems. Launchy is basically Multiton on steroids, equipped with a jetpack and an AK-47, bringing you a slice of homemade apple pie. And icon-pack-friendly too! Nice work, developer! Couple of points in response to other reviews: yes, the UI is complicated; that's because the app has a million capabilities, and you need to be able to get to all of them. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it made total sense to me after about five minutes of playing around with it. And yes, I had the problem with the widgets not reappearing after the phone restarts. I use the Nova launcher, and what fixed it for me was opening Nova's config menu, pressing the "volume down" button, which enables the "labs" menu, and then checking "Restart widgets on resume" on that menu. I'd prefer not to have had to do that, but now that I've done it everything works like a champ.

The new May release, while welcome, has deprecated a number of features including savings and reusing ones own custom layout. Update: 5 stars as the dev has committed to restore old features AND this really is a great widget!

Sometimes the widget gets blank, a small edit box is showing which I am clicking but doesn't work.

Was using the now obsolete Power Toggles app & had to find a replacement. Well... this ain't it. The upside & reason for 2 stars: No ads. The down: Interface is too much & app's buggy. Disappears every time my storage space is low & that's pretty often. It could be a good app, but until the pros outweigh the cons, I'm back to my replacement search. *Sigh* I miss Power Toggles. So much.
