Leafcairn

Keep a little of every page.

Leafcairn is a personal reading room for the books you read in your own copies. Bring your shelves, reading time, page progress and margin notes into one thoughtful journal, with space for both a daily rhythm and an unexpected thought.

A PLACE FOR EVERY BOOK
Build your own library with titles, authors and the page counts from your editions. Keep books on Reading, To read, Paused or Finished shelves. Add tags, choose a spine colour, leave a personal rating and write a review in your own words. Search your shelves and arrange them by title, progress or the order you added them.

MAKE ROOM FOR A SITTING
Start a reading timer from an unfinished book, pause when you step away and return to the same sitting later. Give yourself a gentle time intention rather than a deadline. When you finish, enter the page you reached and a short reflection. The timer keeps counting while the app is closed until you pause or discard it; there is no background alarm.

KEEP THE CONTEXT, NOT JUST THE NUMBER
Record past reading sessions with a date, time and page range. Rereading and thinking on the same page are welcome. Your current book position is kept separately, so an older journal entry does not move you backwards and removing a sitting does not erase your place.

WRITE IN THE MARGINS
Save an observation, a short quotation, a question or a bookmark against a page in your own edition. Star notes you want to return to, search your words and filter by note type. Open a book's notebook when you want the thoughts from one reading journey together.

CHOOSE WHAT COMES NEXT
Put unfinished books into your reading queue, change their order and add an intended finish date. Work out a daily page target from the pages remaining and the calendar days available. Once you have recorded sessions for a book, explore a rough daily time estimate based on your own reading pace.

NOTICE YOUR OWN RHYTHM
Look back at recorded reading time, page advances and the last seven days of activity. See your current consecutive-day streak and the books on your shelves that you finished this year. Set a weekly reading-time intention, a yearly book intention and a default sitting length that suit your life.

A LITTLE HELP WITH REFLECTION
Visit the reflection desk for six original prompts about noticing details, following questions, connecting ideas and returning to a sentence. Choose a book and keep the thought that belongs with it.

Leafcairn does not supply ebooks, download books or generate passages and reviews. It is a companion to your own reading, not an ebook reader or a speed test. Reading estimates use only the information you record and can change from chapter to chapter.
